Lesson Information
All lessons take place at 129 Church Lane, Marple. We ask that parents leave their children with us for the duration of their lesson time. We are both fully DBS cleared.
Lessons are chargeable in a series of 5 at a time. This allows for continuity and a guaranteed lesson time. 24 hours notice is required to cancel a lesson otherwise payment will be taken.
Timings & Prices
30mins - £18
(£90 per 5 lesson series)
We advise a single 30-minute lesson is booked initially in order for us to assess your standard and be able to advise how long lessons should last going forwards. For primary-aged children a 30-minute lesson is usual.
45mins - £25
(£125 per 5 lesson series)
This is a great length of time for those who have reached Grade 4 or above, for an adult/secondary-aged beginner, or for those who have travelled further to have lessons with us.
60mins - £32
(£160 per 5 lesson series)
An hour is perfect for higher grades and older students. 60mins may also be requested if you are close to an exam date.
We also offer tuition and guidance on a more ad hoc basis for school, Further Education or production auditions etc. Please contact us directly for more information about this service.
We can also offer a piano accompanist service.

Lesson Content
Lessons are tailored directly to your needs. Many people like the challenge of exams however some would rather play and progress purely for their own enjoyment. Either approach is fine!
When taking exams we use a variety of different syllabi and exam boards to suit the learning style, interests and standards of all our students, young or old. We believe it is important to learn extended repertoire in between exams in order to build confidence and skills and to appreciate making music for itself.
