Jacqueline

MA(Ed.), BMus(Hons), PGCE, ALCM

Jacqueline teaches piano, clarinet, saxophone, beginner singing, and music theory. Having initially  graduated from Lancaster University she has taught individually and in the classroom across all age ranges for over 30 years in a number of schools in the local area. Currently she holds the post of Director of Music at a local prep school. Before completing her PGCE, Jacqueline began her career in one to one tuition - loving it so much she’s now back for more!

 

Jacqueline has run Music Theatre workshops for children and young people and has been the Musical Director on many amateur dramatic productions in Cheshire. She is an accomplished accompanist and has performed in this role at various venues, including at the Bridgewater Hall, Manchester.

 

Having recently moved to Marple, she is delighted to have returned to one on one tuition- sharing her love for music and providing opportunities for other people of all ages to learn to love it too.

We are a mother and daughter team of professional musicians with a wealth of experience of teaching across multiple settings.

 

 

Collectively we offer tuition in piano, clarinet, saxophone, singing, musical theatre, rock and pop singing and music theory.

 

 

We teach all age ranges, starting from age 6, with no upper limit - We believe you are never too old to start learning an instrument!

 

 

 

 

Abigail

BA(Hons)

Abigail teaches singing, rock & pop, and musical theatre. She recently graduated from The Royal Birmingham Conservatoire, and her passion for music began at an early age with classical singing. Her love for Musical Theatre followed quickly after, and this then lead her to pursue a career as a professional Actor.

 

Her love for music has lead her to hold the position of Musical Director on a number of professional productions, ranging from Pantomime to Shakespeare, and she has also composed many original vocal and instrumental pieces for numerous productions she has performed in as an Actor.

 

Abigail has a 100% pass rate with her singing students. She has been teaching singing for 6 years now, and teaches a range of styles to suit each pupil. Many of her students have gone on to take lead roles in both school and amateur productions. All singing lessons with Abigail also have the option of being taken online.

 

She also provides audition assistance classes, both for singing and acting, having been through many of them herself!
